Currently I'm a senior at American University pursuing a dual-degree in marketing and public communications, with a minor in statistics. Over the past several years, I've had some amazing experiences. I've interned at three very different places.

First, for a small start-up tutoring agency in the DC metropolitan area, Achieve Tutoring, where I helped the founder and owner of the company reach out to new customers and develop a business plan and marketing strategy.

In the spring of 2009 I interned in Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's communications office in the U.S. Capitol. I met some amazing people, got to do some amazing work and had a great time being involved in politics (which I love).

This past summer I interned at the American Legacy Foundation in their communications department. I had the opportunity to work with incredibly talented and intelligent people, and learned a lot!

In the fall of 2009 I studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark, studying international advertising and marketing, political rhetoric and communications, current trends in news media, and the history and contemporary urban issues of Copenhagen. While there I participated and volunteered in such events as the International Olympic Committee meeting and host city selection for the 2016 Olympics, the October 24th 350.org International Day of Climate Action, and in climate activism with organizations such as tcktcktck and Avaaz surrounding the COP15--the United Nations Climate Change Conference.

This past spring, I interned with MS&L in Washington, D.C.--my first real agency experience. I've now moved on to marketing at the Consumer Electronics Association, as well as my first job without "intern" in the title--directing social media for a brand new start-up organization called TechChange.

Although I have no idea what may be next for me I have wide-ranging interests and ambitions. I'm looking forward to whatever opportunities and challenges the future may hold.
